(Addended 01.08.08)</title><link>http://kkomp.com/archives/629#comment-4603245</link><description>&lt;p&gt;Hmm I'm probably less clued up than you re.networking; so I'll pass on that one: I do know that they know what type of communications protocol you're using: Such as POP3, SMTP, FTP, P2P etc. (At least BT do.) How they know I have very little idea. (Addended 01.08.08)</title><link>http://kkomp.com/archives/629#comment-4603244</link><description>&lt;p&gt;Whats to say im downloading the next top 40 or having a skype video chat?&lt;br&gt;Streaming a podcast or downloading the next James Bond film, Playing WOW or downloading a new distro via a tracker?&lt;br&gt;My knowlegde of networking is a bit limited but surely a packet is just a packet untill it can be recreated at the client's machine.
