As Jose says; in addition to just these 2 issues covered in this article, there are also a number of other security measures that you should take. You'll find a lot more articles relating to Windows XP on this blog, and others too; all of which I'm sure you'll find useful. :)

All of the above and by all means install SP-3 (if not integrated on the install disk) and all of the available Microsoft security updates immediately before surfing the net. Disabling Network Shares is another very good security enhancement. Just put "disable network shares" on any search engine it's easy and also works for Vista & 7 as well. Cheers ;-)

A good read. You could also have expounded on the extra cooling and power requirements, and perhaps projected whether 100,000+ core processors will ever arrive due to advancements in transistor miniaturisation.

I am with you on your digital camera outlook. Final image quality will always be a major factor, but I would like to see more emphasis placed on ease of use and functionality as opposed to astronomical resolution figures, which, in fact, have their own shortcomings.

As for the SSD's, I can hardly wait for the performance/cost ratio to bring these items into everyday world...perhaps incorporating one into my first build...as soon as my nerves and finances will allow

nice post.....I wanted to share this Christmas shopping idea.. I found this site called EZwingame. They are giving away free things like a Nintendo Wii ( which I played for to give my son) as well as Calvin Klien perfume for me.
